Aquarius Season— Liberation Season Jan 20-Feb 18th

WOW— Capricorn season definitely went out with a BANG this year… political structures, corporate structures (same thing really), and societal structures went through a complete configuration.. and we are now seeing the peoples response with the start of Aquarius season.

Let’s recap some stories from Capricorn season with an astrological explanation for how it could be co-connected.

Mysterious drones hovering around major cities in the US and UK with no explanation to the public and no attempt to shoot them down. — With Pluto now being in Aquarius.. we will be seeing more and more of this as Aquarius is ruled by Uranus (the strange alien and futuristic planet). Likely disclosed information about UFOs and extraterrestrials will be made public in the coming years. However, remember the people that rule this world are also aware of planetary cycles and use them to their advantage.. and with AI projections being used in places like China already, some of what we see in the sky may actually be a political game. Who even knows anymore…
Lightning strikes three important US buildings in the capital on New Years Eve right before the Pluto Mars opposition in Aquarius and Leo. Some took this as an omen.. as the US is in the limelight having had just went through their 250 year Pluto return cycle. Pluto now being in Aquarius (which rules lightning) indicates the change of power and death and rebirth of that country.
Tesla car getting blown up on the Pluto Mars opposition. Explosions were predicted by many astrologers on this day.. not surprising it has to do with the changing of power structures that Pluto and Mars represent.
LA on fire is a HUGE story that I will highlight again in this article. With Mars(aggressive fire) being retrograde in Cancer (homeland) (not to mention the US is a Cancer nation) AND Pluto being in Aquarius and about to go into Aquarius season, so much to unpack here.
Justin Trudeau stepping down was not a surprise at all during Capricorn season—as I mentioned last month—corrupt leaders will be getting knocked off their throne that month to prepare for the new era of Aquarius. Aquarius’s number one need is FREEDOM…. And anybody who doesn’t believe in freedom will not bode well.
Tariffs being threatened by US to Canada feels very Mars retrograde in Cancer feel to me.. especially because it was opposing Pluto for most of the month. As I mentioned last month.. Mars being retrograde in Cancer shows HUGE protection of the homeland. Many countries are focussing on controlling immigration and fighting for whats best for their OWN country. As it’s in retrograde.. these threats could just be threats.. as Mars isn’t functioning in it’s normal forward action. A lot of passive aggressiveness and word wars/play on emotions are the themes during this cycle.
Talks about a trucker convoy possibly forming to protest against the prorogation happening with our Canadian government.. very Mars retrograde in Cancer—it will be interesting to see if this comes to fruition once Mars stations direct.
SO many more things took place this month… as it was the final nail in the coffin for our societal structures. I would LOVE to see what you noticed astrologically this month in regards to current events.

Let’s get into Aquarius now!

Aquarius is the sign of the water bearer and is represented by “The Star” card in tarot. In this sacred image, the naked woman holding the vessel is meant to represent sacred vulnerability while holding the sacred vessel of collective emotions. Many people say that Aquarius is a “cold” and “emotionless” sign, when really Aquarius is the vessel that is holding and purifying everybody else emotions… making it harder for them to feel their own. This reflects in their humanitarian nature—always thinking about and finding ways to help their fellow man and protest against nonsensical power structures. It’s opposite sign—Leo—is the sign of the ego.. while Aquarius is the sign of the people. Of course all opposites contain each other.. so the shadow side of Aquarius is a huge ego… which is always something to keep in mind about this sign. By not acknowledging their own egotistical nature (and needs) because of the focus on the people, their egotistical shadow may come out when leading humanitarian movements. Everybody knows that person who is big in humanitarian leadership, but also has a “saviour” complex about them that can rub you the wrong way? This can be the shadow I am talking about. Hence why communism would be under Aquarius’s domain. A leader that thinks they are helping the masses, but gets taken over by their own ego and leads everybody else into their own vision (even if others don’t want it). This can be something to pay attention to during this 20 year Pluto in Aquarius cycle.

Aquarius is ruled by both Saturn and Uranus, which are VERY conflicting planets in astrology. Where-as last month I spoke about Saturn being about constriction, power structures, old age, and enduring struggle—Uranus is all about freedom, liberation, rebellion, technological advancement, collective visions/ideas, uniqueness, and strangeness. Uranus is the true “alien” of the zodiac. It’s the planet that can see so far into the future to understand how amazing society could be—yet feels alone because nobody else can even fathom that same vision. It’s a planet that is way beyond our time in scopes of where we currently are in society today. These opposing planets can cause immense struggle in Aquarius individuals. It’s funny, many think Aquarians are completely off their rocker, when in reality, many actually live slightly “traditional” lives—just in their own weird way. They believe in and understand societal structures, however they oppose them when they become corrupt and dishonest. If you have an Aquarius friend, you probably notice they jump between two personalities quite regularly. This may be due to the fact that Saturn is an earth planet while Uranus is an air planet. Their mind/body connection is always being disrupted.. almost like there is an electric current flashing through their bodies on any given day. This literally does reflect in how their bodies operate.. which I will get into in the health section below. Many Aquarius people dance between being social and unsocial.. they are the true introvert/extrovert… which makes sense as Saturn is known as “The Hermit” in tarot and Uranus is the first collective planet. Saturn is the last of the old world planets and Uranus is the first new world planet (or in astrology we say collective planet). This means Aquarius literally dances between the old world and the new world (which shows their introvert/extrovert and traditional/rebellion nature). It’s almost like they dip their toes into traditional structures.. analyze them.. see what needs to be improved.. then go back to their hermit hole to idealize and create in their mind a new and improved “Utopia” and then goes back out to share it to the world . Wonder why SO many people are just sharing their ideas these days? How that has become the new entertainment-- listening to everybody’s ideas of the world and our future? That is likely Pluto in Aquarius coming to play.

As Uranus is the planet before Neptune (cosmic oneness and spirit world), there is also a judgement energy that the sign Aquarius portrays.. many Aquarius folk cannot stand fake or deceiving personalities and it’s almost like in order to get to spiritual ascenction, one must first strip themselves to their authentic and true selves (naked woman holding the sacred vessel) to get there. Another thing to note.. is Aquarians OBSESS over conspiracy theories. Perhaps because their mind can penetrate further beyond that of all the other signs… Aquarians are the BEST sign at seeing another perspective.. however this can be their downfall is they sometimes don’t know when to just let it go. They can literally drive themselves into psychosis if they aren’t mindful with it.

Pluto in Leo (Aquariuses opposite) timeline — 1937-1958— AKA the birth of Hollywood and “Me” culture

Where Pluto in Leo brought power to “celebrity” and “royalty” figures.. Pluto in Aquarius is all about power and fame being more about authenticity, community social networking, and ideas. There is a reason that Podcasters are now becoming our new celebrities. And the celebrities that want to stay relevant would bode well by adapting to this changing climate. Aquarius dislikes “fame culture” or putting people on pedestals— Aquarius likes intelligence and sharing ideas with the world. This can however turn into fame—but only if the person who is sharing it isn’t doing it for fame but actually for the people. Since Pluto first went into Aquarius (even while it was still going in and out) was when we first started seeing the decline in Hollywood culture and relevance while simultaneously seeing the rise in authentic podcast culture—but when Aquarius finally stationed in Aquarius for good in November 2024, was when we REALLY saw how irrelevant that culture has truly become. The fact that just a few years ago people held on to famous peoples opinions like God and politicians have been utilizing them for that very reason—it really shone through during the US election in November. What used to work for Politicians by using celebrities didn’t work anymore.. because the relevance is gone. People are not attracted to inauthenticity and narcissistic personalities anymore.. the people want authentic and intelligent people to listen to. Whereas scripts would have worked for speeches and news anchors, it no longer resonates with the people. Journalistic podcasters who choose more of a “riffing” method and are presenting open dialogue are now the people who hold the power. With Hollywood literally being burned down in Capricorn season.. it’s very in sync with where the times are heading. Hollywood culture (as we have known it) is dead.. but will be reborn in ways we can’t even comprehend yet—which will probably have to do with utilizing AI. We will have to wait and see…

“I am a Peace maker and a unifier”—Donald Trump (time will tell)

I called this article “Liberation Month”, as on this day, Donald Trump took office and literally said the words “This is liberation day” and “I am a peace maker and a unifier”. All very Aquarius themed phrases. Not only did he take office on the first day of Aquarius season (which is normally the day American presidents take office), but he did so on a Pluto/Sun conjunction representing complete and utter transformation to that countries ego. Watching this inauguration was fascinating as an astrologer, as the passive aggressive speeches given from both sides very much reflected the Mars (in cancer) opposite Mercury. Mars sextile Uranus showing positive and shocking progressive changes. Liberating our speech and mind again. With this Mars opposing mercury energy (which will last a few days and going exact on Jan. 23rd, watch for avoidable conflicts by thinking before you speak!

Honestly this seems like a refreshing New Moon after SO many hard moon cycle aspects we have been going through! With so many planets in Pisces harmoniously involved in this new moon, a spiritual ritual would be amazing! Anything Neptunian.. even listening to your favourite album and leaning in to letting go of what no longer serves you. This will be the first new moon in Aquarius since Pluto stationed direct for good there.. VERY potent new moon for any Aquarians out there. This is your era for the next 20 years.. so what groundwork do you want to lay for this time period? What else do you need to let go of in order for this drastic change in your life? The intention you put in now will be LASTING.. so think long and hard about it. For everyone else.. think about which themes in your life you want to change and transform into being more authentic, progressive, and strange. The sextile triangle between feminine signs points to matters of the body, emotions, water, and health. Major health changes and news could come out at this time. This new moon TRINES Jupiter in Gemini… so expect GOOD news and changes to come our way. Venus conjuncting the North Node that JUST went into Pisces.. is going to be a new directional cycle in your relationships and relationship to the self in a way that seems dreamy and romantic--just don't fall under delusion of the rose tinted glasses--as Neptune is also conjunct and involved. All in all.. a great time to manifest the changes you want to see for the next 20 year cycle.

Expect shocking events start to take place! Possibly disclosure of information regarding UFOs, corruptness, and even information regarding the underbelly of Hollywood (since Aquarius season is opposite Leo) this will likely reflect more during the Full Moon in Leo later in the month.

This Full Moon is much more intense than the New Moon… and is likely the intense energy that will be starting to pick up and gain more intensity leading up to spring. We aren’t out of the wood works people! As I have told all my clients… it’s not until late spring/early summer that this stuck friction energy will finally change (like tectonic plates finally snapping after years of tension). My spidy senses really tell me this is the final nail in the coffin to corrupt Hollywood as I mentioned above. With the full moon being conjunct Mercury.. there will be information coming to light.. and with Uranian energy being involved expect it to be shocking! As the North Node just recently entered Pisces, having it conjunct Neptune (Pisces ruler) will really give us an idea of what we are to expect with this 1 year cycle. Make sure to watch your health over the next couple years and watch your family/friends health and wellness. There will be a lot to come out about the health industry and it's new direction over the next 1 year cycle. Since the North Node made its transition into Pisces, the US has pulled out of WHO and is reimbursing veterans who got let go from their positions for not getting the "c" vxine. Expect this year to be the theme of health...but remember that can be bad health too and passings (Pisces).. so get your health in order!

Health and Wellness

Aquarius is a cold/dry and constrictive sign. As it opposes Leo (who rules the heart), Aquarius is more about peripheral circulation (which is where their issues normally preside). It is common for Aquarius individuals to be low in iron as they struggle to bring circulation to their peripherals. It’s almost like all their energy focuses towards their extremely busy mind.. rather than their body. Think of an alien.. large head and smaller body. Unconsciously all their energy wants to bring their nutrients to their head rather than their body! Cold hands and feet are common and nervous energy (like constriction and heart palpitations/chest pain) can be common (which is also a low iron symptom). As I mentioned earlier.. Aquarians dance between being ecstatic and constrictive.. which can make them prone to spasms. Nutrients wise, this could be due to low sodium and mineral levels in the body which help to relax muscle spasms. Which may also speak to why this sign is prone to low blood pressure. Spiritually, this sign struggles to hold onto water (emotions). They take in so many others emotions (water) and can’t handle it in their system so instantly pass it through.. this may reflect as urinating more frequently! This can let go of their bodies minerals and sodium levels which can dehydrate them further and put them into low blood pressure (again back to cardiovascular issues). The key to this sign is to mineralize them, build their blood, moisten and nourish their system, and relax the constriction they carry (while NOT sedating them). Aquarians pride themselves on their busy mind—it’s what makes them who they are. Many astro-herbalists recommend sedating herbs like Valerian to calm down their excitement.. but as a fellow Aquarian I disagree. We still want to be awake and think.. we just want our minds to be more clear and direct and our bodies more relaxed. Not to mention, many calming/bitter herbs are cooling in nature.. while Aquarians struggle with warmth and circulation.. it is better to choose peculiar warming relaxing herbs.

Here are the herbs that work GREAT for Aquarius individuals (but also everyone who is going through Aquarius season):

Dong Qui (Angelica sinensis)- Blood builder (builds iron and effective red blood cells), increases peripheral circulation, and moistens. —like a vegan both broth ~
Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza glabra)- Licorice helps to extend active cortisol in the body and spread out it’s efficiency.. leading to more balanced energy levels. As Aquarians are very sporadic and unpredictable with their energy levels.. it helps keep them more even keeled.. while also helping to moisturize their system AND raise low blood pressure (do not take if you have high blood pressure)

Milky Oats (Avena sativa) — Nourishing, moisturizing, and helps repair a frayed nervous system. High in B vitamins and minerals. Helps with low mood/ winter depression which runs rampant at this time.
Holy Basil (Occimum sanctum)— the PERFECT nervine for an Aquarius. This herb calms tension held in the body, supports healthy circulation, warms the body, and calms the mind (NOT sedate). It’s an Ayruvedic favoured herb that has been spiritually used for centuries to help concentrate the mind for meditation. For the Aquarian that is overstimulated—this can help relax them enough to stabilize—while also still giving them access to utilizing their mind more efficiently.
Adaptogens! — Aquarius can be a very stressful sign.. they are thrill seekers by nature and tend to have an up and down energy that can drain their nervous system. Ashwaghanda (Withania somnifera) and Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) are my adaptogens of choice for this sign.. Ashwagandha can help nourish, calm, and build iron levels.. while Reishi can also help nourish and calm while supporting the cardiovascular system.
Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) — Energetically + Spiritually this is an amazing plant for an Aquarius. Mugwort is great for that person who can get lost too far in the ethers or needs help gaining access to the spirit world. It helps bring an individual to equally balance two worlds.. the physical and the metaphysical. Just as Aquarius straddles between Saturn and Uranus.. or the world and the ethers. Medicinally, it's great for circulating energy to the pelvic regions and helping to relax and aid digestion.

Lifestyle:

Make sure to take time out of the day to get OFF the computer or electronics. Aquarius rules technology in astrology.. and they likely use it to uncover layers and layers of conspiracy theories or nerd out over something like astrophysics. As their nervous system is always a little bit frayed because of this… it’s essential to get off the computer and take breaks. We will all be drawn to technology this month so keep this in mind. Go out and touch grass!
Deep breathing. This is a tense sign.. taking time out of your day every hour to deeply breathe oxygen into your tissues can help relax some of that tension.
Stay AWAY from too much coffee. Coffee is ruled by Uranus in astro-herbalism.. it helps get your brain to rapid firing levels.. as our system will already be overstimulated at this time.. try to avoid that 3rd cup (you really don’t need it) (drink some water)
WATER WATER WATER and add some Celtic sea salt into it so you can absorb it. This tail end of winter—all our systems are likely dried out.
Ecstatic dance… Aquarians are.. WEIRD. Nothing like dancing like a mad fool to bring out your inner Aquarius.. loosen up those tight joints, and activate your cardiovascular system. You don’t even need to leave your house… have a kitchen dance party for one with your weirdest/funky tunes.

There is so much more to say about this sign and this month. As a fellow Aquarian.. I clearly understand this sign more than any of the other zodiac signs..which gives me plenty to say. Allow yourself to be a rebel this month.. stand up for what you believe in, think about what freedom means to you, allow yourself to be your authentic and weird self. This will be the leading energy for the next 20 years with Pluto being in Aquarius.. so embrace it!
