Hi everyone! My name is Sydney Rumohr and I am a Medical and Clinical Herbalist (Phytotherapist) who studied at Pacific Rim College in Victoria, BC.

The path I took to get here has been quite the windy one with many twists and turns, be it exciting, scary, sadening, and yet always surprising. My entire childhood, every birthday I wished on my candles that I would become a witch; of course, now I realize I had the tool set for this ability all along. Throughout my life I have always felt this deep connection to nature, spirituality, and the ability to always see good in people no matter their faults. This search for witchcraft took me to the other side of the waters over to Edinburgh, Scotland, where I still have many relatives today. Europe, especially the UK, had been a vision of mine since I was a kid, I somehow knew I would feel familiarity amongst the old architecture, folklore, country/small village living, and dramatic landscapes. While living in Edinburgh, I don’t think I have ever felt more at home then when I did my daily dog walks up Arthurs Seat and peered down to the ancient, medieval city below. There is something so mystical and eerie about this beautiful city that makes you feel truly connected to the spirit world.

Unfortunately, I had to move my life back to Canada in 2020, and I came back quite lost with my identity. Luckily I ended up trying to recenter myself by working on an organic veggie farm in Saanichton, BC on Vancouver Island and fell in love with watching the life cycle of plants. That summer was full of love, magic, and spontaneity and it was though this time period where I got to see the powerful healing powers of plants. This led me to enrol at Pacific Rim College to live out my dream of attending a real world Hogwarts and studying the old world medicine of Herbalism. Through those years, I had the best years of my life as I learned more about myself everyday by working with complex and diverse plant personalities. A surprise I never expected was to fall in love with the Science behind plant medicine and how science and spirituality can work so synergistically together in helping aid a imbalanced person back to their aligned wholeness.

In 2024, I graduated my 12 semester 3 year diploma program of Phytotherapy from Pacific Rim College. This study emersed me in the anatomy of the body, phytochemistry of plants, the energetic channels of the body, lab work and diagnostics, an extensive study of over 200 medicinal plants, botany and plant identification, herb/drug interactions, physical body examinations, supplements, holistic nutrition, ancient medicinal systems (including learning about the 5 Elements, the Ayruvedic doshas, and Greek Humour model body systems, and so.. so much more. This program included 500 hours of 1:1 clinical hours with patients, with each class being monitored and looked over by a teacher supervisor.

In my spare time, I have been in either product advising or managerial positions in vitamin/health food stores in Victoria BC, Duncan BC and Regina SK. With 5 years of experience working in the world of natural supplements, I have gained extensive knowledge of the cross over use between using herbal formulas and supplementation in a clients treatment plan.

In 2023, I started my own herbal products business. First starting with my “Chai-Tavari” womans tonic blend for hormonal and nervous system balancing, then expanding to herbal tea blends, body oils, and tinctures. While juggling full time school and work, I managed to upkeep and build my business on the side through doing seasonal farmers markets and selling through local health food stores.

Starting January 2026, I will be opening up my clinical side of my business, working with people through 1:1 herbal medicine and holistic health consultations. In this process, I will get a detailed intake from a patient and create a customized treatment plan that consists of herbal medicine formulas, supplement recommendations, nutritional advice, and lifestyle adjustments. I can’t wait to work with the community to help those in need of spiritual or medical guidance in coming back to their bodies and intuition so that they can heal their own bodies, mind, and spirit and live their lives in synergy to the natural world.
