Description
Medicago sativa (alfalfa)
Alfalfa is a nutrient dense herb that is commonly used for animal feed due to its’ high nutrient content. High in minerals (especially vitamin K and iron). It may help support those who struggle with blood clots by thinning the blood. Not only that, but it is a phytoestrogen — helping to modulate estrogen levels and support conditions like menopause. With a gentle laxative effect, it can help support regular bowel movements. Its’ high chlorophyll content is praised about in the wellness community for being alkalizing and cleansing to the body. It is helpful for internal bleeding in digestive disorders. Known as a venous/capillary tonic in herbal medicine.
