Description

Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) (herb of a hundred husbands)

Those who know me know that I never shut up about this herb. The root is used in Ayurvedic medicine as a “female tonic”, helping to support woman of all ages! Great for balancing hormones/cycles and boosting fertility (and libido), while also supporting those going through perimenopause! Can help to produce more breast milk in new mothers. The roots are very moistening, nourishing, and nutritive to the system — which help to build someone back up from a depleted state and support health mucous membranes throughout the body. It is a STRONG aphrodisiac, known for being called “The herb of a hundred husbands” — also due to its 100s of roots. For those who experience vaginal dryness or lack of sensation, Shatavari root will bring you back to life down there.

In addition, she is so much more! An incredibly strong antioxidant used for fighting and protecting the “C” word and other bodily toxicities, an adaptogen for regulating hormone, immune system, and nervous system (helping to support your bodies resistance to stress), reduces inflammation, improves low mood, modulates the immune system by other up-regulating or down-regulating the activity and production of white blood cells. There is so much more, but obsessed with her. She also is known for having deep taproots (which means the roots go far down into the soil), which I feel energetically helps you to fully root and anchor into the earth and your body.

Used in my “Chai-Tavari — A Yin Tonic Blend” and my “Healing the Feminine Body Oil”
