Calendula is renowned for it’s tissue healing benefit both externally on the skin and internally for bodily tissues. It is commonly used in skin care in oil extracts for body oils and salves to help clear up scars, acne, or damaged skin. Internally, it is used to reduce inflammation (especially in the gut), support liver and gallbladder function, and gently stimulate the lymphatic system. It helps to clear out toxins from the body to improve the skin. Great to use internally as a tea or made into a tincture while also being used as a skin product to help clear up long term skin issues.

Cautions:
Apply carefully to open wounds as healing is rapid, ensure no debris is trapped under the wounded skin. Caution in conditions which are estrogen dependant.
While it is indicated for eczema, many patients find it too warm for hot skin conditions.
